The Founding
A small group from Pittsburgh
In 2006 a small group of staff from YWAM Pittsburgh, led by Doug and Debi Tunney, felt a call from the Lord to come and start a YWAM base in Boston with a focus on the creative arts. Seeing the rich spiritual history of this region, our heart soon became focused on seeing revival spark in New England and becoming a sending force of missionaries to the ends of the earth.
Our First DTS
The school that started it all
In 2008 we launched our first ever Discipleship Training School at YWAM Boston. During the school, one of our founders received a vision from the Lord for our multi-media production Encounter. The DTS took the production across the U.K. for 10 weeks, the humble beginning and inauguration to over a decade of touring with the Encounter production, resulting in tens of thousands experiencing the Gospel and thousands of salvations.

Growth in vision and opportunity
Today
Over the years the Lord has led us into many different spheres of society and given us the strategy and people to do it. What once started as a small group of six has now become 40+ full time staff, seven active ministries, and multiple programs running year round.
We’ve seen hundreds of young people trained and equipped in their faith, over 35,000 salvations through outreaches, and thousands of healings. We believe this is a testimony of what the Lord is doing around the world and just the beginning of what He is going to do through this ministry.
